Attendance and Cancellation Policy
To better serve you and make quicker progress toward goals, regular attendance to therapy is imperative. The most common cause of lack of progress is inconsistent attendance. It is expected that at least one parent attends the session the client.

Cancellation by Client:
24 hours notice is required to cancel an appointment, otherwise the full fee for the missed appointment will be charged. Please ensure that you either call, text, and/or e-mail as we will refer to the time stamps on communications to determine the amount of notice provided.

Emergency Cancellations:
Emergency cancellations are only accepted for illness (e.g., fever within the last 24 hours, strep, unidentified rash, diarrhea, vomiting or any highly contagious illness), illness of a family member or death in the family. In the event of an emergency cancellation, families are responsible for providing as much as notice as possible and shall notify the clinic BEFORE their scheduled appointment time to avoid a “no-show” fee.
No Shows:
Please note that the clinician has put aside time to prepare treatment plans and therapy materials for each client specifically for the scheduled appointment time. The clinician will wait up to 15 minutes for you to arrive at the appointment (virtual or in-person). If you do not show for the appointment and did not provide prior notice, you will be charged the full amount for the session.
After 3 emergency cancellations and/or no shows, the full session fee will be charged for any subsequent emergency cancellations within the calendar year and the client will forfeit their regular speech therapy time-slot.

Late Arrivals:
If you are late for your appointment, your appointment will still end at the originally scheduled time.
Termination and Refusal of Services Policy

Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to: untimely payment of fees, failure to fully participate in therapy, lack of adherence to the facility’s policies, behavioural concerns, or any complications that we feel may affect the safety and/or wellbeing of our staff and/or clients.

The client, parent(s), and/or caregiver(s) have the right to discontinue services.
